The National Association of Public Child Welfare Administrators (NAPCWA) provides national leadership for the development of sound policy, successful and innovative practices and critical capacity building to improve agency performance and consumer outcomes.

OUR PURPOSE

NAPCWA represents state and local public child welfare agencies through their child welfare administrators, deputies, and other child welfare agency staff that envision a safe and loving public child welfare system to provide children with permanent homes and support in their social and emotional growth and development.

EMWB was held on August 14-17, 2022, bringing together members from three APHSA affinity groups – the American Association of SNAP Directors (AASD), the National Association of TANF Administrators (NASTA), and the National Association of Program Information and Performance Management (NAPIPM). EMWB showcased the work of agencies, researchers, and private sector to advance our collective goal of achieving economic mobility and well-being for all.

Economic & Concrete Supports National Landscape Survey Research Report (November 2023)
In partnership with Chapin Hall, APHSA conducted a national landscape survey of child welfare leaders to learn how they perceive support options, service coordination and tracking, funding, and barriers to meeting families’ needs. This report explores the survey findings and highlights insights into how agencies currently leverage resources to help families meet needs and what improvements should be made.
