APHSA's National Council of Local Human Services Administrators (Local Council) is pleased to invite you to join county and city health and human services (H/HS) agencies from across the country for an engaging 2-day retreat in Arlington, Virginia. Building on the Local Council’s focus to move health and human services upstream and advance social and economic mobility, this year’s retreat will shine a light on locally-driven innovative policies and practices that build well-being from the ground up.
The nation’s H/HS system is a cornerstone to building a strong, dynamic, and healthy nation made up of thriving communities. County and city H/HS agencies play a vital role in building a modern, responsive H/HS system that leads to the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Attendees will hear from leaders in the field about successful and innovative initiatives in the areas of well-being, equity, agile H/HS workforce, prevention, community engagement, data optimization, strategic partnerships with other “human serving” systems and organizations. You do not want to miss this unique opportunity to collaborate with city and county H/HS leaders and their key partners as well as experience collective learning around the shared vision of creating thriving communities built on human potential.
This is an invite-only event reserved for local H/HS agency directors and their senior staff or key partners. Seating is limited to two (2) seats per agency in order to accommodate as many as possible.
