APHSA Awarded $3 Million Grant to Advance Family Economic Mobility:

“The W.K. Kellogg Foundation selected APHSA for a grant to advance equitable systems change by advancing family-centered economic mobility approaches. Building on work already underway in the state of Mississippi, this funding will advance local, regional, and national system alignment to support public and private family-serving systems toward family economic mobility.” Read the press release.

In a special statement released on January 21, 2021, APHSA addresses how we can build foundations for equitable recovery and resilient communities following the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States:

APHSA, ACCT, and NCAP Awarded SNAP E&T National Partnership Grant
Press Release, October 2020

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) selected APHSA, in partnership with the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and National Community Action Partnership (NCAP), for a FY 2020 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment & Training (E&T) National Partnership Grant. Selected through a competitive process, this three-year grant totals $2.1 million and kicked off on September 30, 2020. Read the press release.

We must stay laser-focused on a systems approach to building thriving, resilient communities that support family well-being and create real opportunities for social and economic mobility. APHSA calls upon federal leaders to come together around bipartisan solutions that equip state and local agencies with the tools needed to meet the whole needs of families and communities. A Call to Action for Human Services

APHSA is committed to being an accountable actor and supportive ally in systematically eliminating structural racism and the resulting inequities. We believe that dismantling these inequities and the institutional racism embedded within them must be at the heart of our systems’ work until one’s racial identity has no influence on how one fares in society.
