APHSA and Share Our Strength Partner to Support Innovative SNAP Efforts in Six States Press Release, April 2021
“Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign will invest nearly $2 million in six states to advance SNAP agency innovation and interagency coordination to combat childhood hunger. Each project will be carried out over an 18-month grant period with support from APHSA. APHSA will facilitate cohort learning and exchange, provide technical assistance to funded sites, disseminate lessons learned, and distill policy implications to broader SNAP and WIC stakeholder networks.” Read the press release.

APHSA Awarded $3 Million Grant to Advance Family Economic Mobility Press Release, February 2021
“The W.K. Kellogg Foundation selected APHSA for a grant to advance equitable systems change by advancing family-centered economic mobility approaches. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) selected APHSA, in partnership with the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and National Community Action Partnership (NCAP), for a FY 2020 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment & Training (E&T) National Partnership Grant. Selected through a competitive process, this three-year grant totals $2.1 million and kicked off on September 30, 2020. Read the press release.

Breakdowns in negotiations within Congress and the Administration have led our country towards a series of fragmented legislative and executive actions aimed at stopgap solutions to complex problems. We must stay laser-focused on a systems approach to building thriving, resilient communities that support family well-being and create real opportunities for social and economic mobility. APHSA calls upon federal leaders to come together around bipartisan solutions that equip state and local agencies with the tools needed to meet the whole needs of families and communities.
