Who We Are

Greetings from APHSA's Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team! Through our OE consulting practice, we partner with our members at all levels —systems, organizations, teams and individuals — to close the gap between the results and vision they desire and where they are today. Since 2005, our OE team has delivered over 110 projects within over 30 states, using tools and processes from the field of Organizational Effectiveness that we have customized for human serving agencies and community partners.

Our Purpose

To provide consultation and support that is just the right size to every locality committed to improving organizational effectiveness, we use tools that are customized to the assets and needs of your own organization and community. Our premise is straightforward: effective organizations are foundational to building healthier and stronger communities. Our approach to technical assistance is solution-focused and carefully planned. Anchored by our commitment to continuous learning, we leverage the resources and skills that leaders and their teams bring to solve problems so they stay solved.

Together with our members and partners, we are at the forefront of helping states and local communities use and translate our overarching framework, the Human Services Value Curve , into a set of practical and impactful action steps that build momentum along with organization and community ownership for change.

The work I have done as an OE Facilitator in my agency led to additional funding, and increased community wide engagement and implementation of grass-roots programmatic change toward a common goal of ending child fatalities directly linked to child abuse or neglect.
