Blake Turpin

Process Innovation Associate

Blake Turpin (they/he) is the Process Innovation Associate at APHSA. In their role, they support the day-to-day management of Process Innovation projects by coordinating project tasks and activities, documenting insights and best practices in written materials, and convening and participating in affinity groups of human services agency leaders and staff to explore process innovation in public benefits and co-create strategies for advancing more customer-centered public program administration.

Before joining APHSA, Blake was a Program Associate at D.C. Hunger Solutions, working to end hunger in the District of Columbia and increase SNAP participation and quality through direct service, technical assistance, and advocacy. He also participated in the Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship. In this role, Blake worked with Project Bread to improve the quality of and access to child nutrition programs in Massachusetts and with RESULTS Education Fund to advocate for housing supports and tax credits for individuals with low incomes.

Blake is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
