Raneem Karboji

Policy Coordinator

Raneem Karboji is the Policy Coordinator at the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA). In her role, she provides administrative, research and organizational support to subject matter experts across the policy areas of food and economic supports, childcare and early childhood programs, child welfare and well-being programs, and employment and training services to meet members’ needs and advance APHSA’s influence strategies.

Prior to joining APHSA, Raneem was a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow where she gained first-hand experience of anti-poverty and anti-hunger work through placements with a community-based organization in Pittsburgh and a policy-focused agency in Washington, D.C. Raneem has significant experience in civic and voter engagement in her hometown of El Paso, Texas, local health initiatives, and Domestic Violence awareness through her previous work in Texas State House of Representatives, El Paso City Council, and the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence. She was awarded the inaugural Rising Star Award by the League of Women Voters of Texas – El Paso in 2019.

Raneem is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso in Health Promotion and Nutrition.
