Ray Davidson

Raymond (Ray) C. Davidson is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA), a bi-partisan, non-profit membership organization representing state and local human service agencies. He provides overall leadership to enable successful implementation of strategic and operational goals for the association. As the COO, he is charged with ensuring the association provides full optimization of talent and capacity to deliver on its vision and mission.

Prior to joining APHSA, he held several positions in the DC Child Welfare Agency including an appointment as Agency Director. Ray has held leadership positions in operational and administrative functions with Bell Atlantic (Now Verizon) Communications, Home Shopping Network and Comcast Corporation.

Ray serves on various membership and board positions in professional development, mentoring and community-based organizations including The Arc of Montgomery County where he currently serves on the Executive Committee; previous member of the Board of Advisors for George Washington University Business School and member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He was the co-founder and a past president of Developmental Roundtable for Upward Movement (DRUM). He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and Masters of Business Administration degree from George Washington University.
