With over three decades of experience in human services, Dr. Trinka Landry-Bourne has established herself as a leader in organizational development, leadership, policy writing, and budgetary monitoring. Trinka earned her Doctorate in Public Administration from California Baptist University (CBU), with a focus on leadership development.

Before joining APHSA, Trinka managed organizational development and leadership projects for the largest geographical county in the United States. Her expertise extends to academia, where she has served as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in Human Services, Diversity and Inclusion, and Cultural Leadership at CBU and UC Davis.

Trinka’s leadership extends to her role on the National Staff Development and Training Association (NSDTA) Executive Advisory Council as Chair and her presidency of the San Bernardino County Association of African American Employees. She has also served as a coach and mentor for over two decades, supporting both executive and emerging leaders.

At APHSA, Trinka collaborates with Federal, State, and local agencies to address organizational challenges, strategic solutions, leadership development, and change management efforts. She has co-designed and facilitated various learning communities, webinars, and leadership convenings on advancing race equity in TANF and family economic mobility. Additionally, she co-created a community and cross-sector leadership framework aimed at advancing health, equity, and well-being. Her passion for promoting leadership excellence is evident in her extensive work at the national level.

Trinka has presented at numerous conferences and summits throughout the U.S. and supports the Emerging Leaders Program for the annual ISM/PHSA Education Conference & Expo. Her unwavering commitment to leadership excellence and her collaborative approach establish her as a respected leader and advocate within human services.
