Executive Governing Board
The Executive Governing Board is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of APHSA and overseeing its operations. The Board includes state, county, and city chief executives who serve in leadership roles on APHSA Councils as well as appointed members from other sectors including businesses and nonprofit organizations. Board members bring expertise both from within the human services sector, as well as in key areas relevant to the effective operation of APHSA such as business development, nonprofit governance and operations, finances, and public relations. Core responsibilities of the Board include approving association-wide priorities and objectives, establishing appropriate association-level policies, hiring and overseeing the President and CEO, and oversight of finances.
