Blake Turpin (they/he) is a Senior Process Innovation Associate at APHSA. In this role, Blake supports the coordination and execution of Process Innovation projects, translating insights and best practices into clear, actionable materials for the field. They work closely with customers and people with lived experience to ensure that projects remain grounded in real-world needs and promote more equitable, human-centered public benefits delivery. Blake also collaborates with agency leaders and staff through affinity groups to explore innovative approaches and co-create strategies for improving program administration.
Before joining APHSA, Blake was a Program Associate at D.C. Hunger Solutions, working to end hunger in the District of Columbia and increase SNAP participation and quality through direct service, technical assistance, and advocacy. He also participated in the Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship. In this role, Blake worked with Project Bread to improve the quality of and access to child nutrition programs in Massachusetts and with RESULTS Education Fund to advocate for housing supports and tax credits for individuals with low incomes.
Blake is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
